Workforce Development

Baldwin-Wallace graduate, Ryan Morgan, talks about how the student internship experiences he connected with though ClevelandIntern.net prepared him for the workforce.
"As a student, I knew that it was very tough to land a great job after school with just good grades. Internships allowed me to not only gain experience, but experience the job market before I finally dived in.
My internship searches were made easy using ClevelandIntern’s website – my sophomore year I quickly landed an internship at Think-A-Move Ltd., a technology company in Beachwood. This was the first opportunity I had to start applying some of the things I was learning at Baldwin-Wallace and it allowed me to find out what I was really interested in. It was such an awesome experience that I submitted it to the ClevelandIntern.net testimonial spotlight! My second internship was at MAGNET (the Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network), and I got real-world experience designing web pages and print advertisements.
While I had a slightly pessimistic view of Cleveland’s job market before, I realized that even jobs that I would have never thought I’d enjoy (a manufacturing advocacy group?...come on) turned out to be some of the most exciting experiences of my life. After completing four internships during my college years, I’m positive that my experience helped me land a great job after school. I am now employed in the marketing department at ERC (Employers Resource Council) in Mayfield Village, a company that promotes top performers and great workplaces!"
